Update - Direct Debit Duplicate Payments

Allpay have informed us that they've taken Direct Debit payments for payments on the 8th twice. Allpay are a payment collection service that processes Direct Debit payments and not part of Herefordshire Housing. 

If you've incurred bank charges as a result of Allpay's mistake you'll need to speak with Allpay directly on 0844 225 5729.

Below is the information Allpay have sent us.

We would like to confirm that all the duplicate Direct Debit payment refunds have now left our account and have been credited in your customers’ accounts. 

We apologise for the continued inconvenience these issues are causing you and your customers.

Thank you for your patience during our system issues. We have now resolved this problem and have instigated customer refunds.

This process is underway and all customers will receive a refund of the duplicated payment by Tuesday 12th September.

Direct Debit Duplicate Payments
 
Further to our communication sent yesterday evening, we wanted to provide you with a communication that you can share with your customers today. We are continuing to work on refunding your customers.
 
Friday 8th September you would normally expect us to process a Direct Debit on your account. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control you will notice that this has been duplicated into two payments. A solution will be applied which will mean you will also see one credit on your account to balance this issue. We trust this has not caused any difficulties and apologise for the confusion this may have caused.
 
We will provide you with an additional update before midday today.
