Report Anti-Social Behaviour
Anti-Social Behaviour is legally defined as someone acting ‘in a manner that has caused, or was likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household’.
Anti-Social Behaviour covers a wide range of types of behaviour. It may include, but is not limited to:
- Excessive noise nuisance
- Verbal abuse
- Damage to property (including graffiti and vandalism)
- Nuisance from vehicles
- Nuisance from animals
- Littering, fly tipping, rubbish dumping and misuse of communal areas
- Any drug related activities from a property or within the locality (to which we have a zero tolerance)
- Violence or threats of violence
We understand that sometimes everyday living noise can be annoying, but unless it is excessive or unreasonable we would not, under normal circumstances consider it to be anti-social. Some examples are:
- Mowing lawns
- Noise from domestic appliances e.g. washing machines and vacuum cleaners
- Children playing
You will find more details about anti-social behaviour in our leaflet here.
Our approach
We will take every opportunity to work in partnership with our residents and other agencies to stamp it out. We take what’s called a ‘Triple Track Approach’:
