We have a Tenancy Services Team which deals with all tenancy issues. The team is made up of Allocations, Neighbourhood Officers and Anti-Social Behaviour Officers.
Applying for a Herefordshire Housing property
We advertise all our vacant properties with Home Point, a choice-based lettings scheme for the major social housing providers in Herefordshire. If you want to apply for social housing in Herefordshire, you must register with Home Point by filling in an application form.
Ways to register
You can get an application form:
Once you have registered
Once you are registered, you will be put into a banding system, based on your circumstances. These are Gold, Silver or Bronze. If your circumstances are urgent, you may get a Priority Card, which helps you to find a home more quickly. These are only given in an emergency. You will also be informed about what sort of property you can apply for, as you will not be able to apply for every sort of housing.
You will then be able to bid for any properties that you are eligible to apply for. Properties will be advertised each week through the Hereford Admag, Home Point's website and in each Social Landlord's offices, including our own.
Other Social Landlords who let their properties through Home Point are:
Contacting Our Allocations Team
You can contact our Allocations Team on 0300 777 4321.
Neighbourhood Officers are there to help you enjoy a trouble-free tenancy. They oversee the day-to-day management of your estates, such as conducting regular inspections, new lettings and transfers and providing help and advice to you about the conditions of your Tenancy Agreement including anti-social behaviour.
Neighbourhood Officers are often out of the office on the estates and are supported by Neighbourhood Assistants who work in the South Wye Office at Jubilee Court and Widemarsh Street office.
Neighbourhood Assistants are able to answer many of your queries. If they are unable to assist, they can pass your query through to the relevant Neighbourhood Officer or Anti-Social Behaviour Officer.
You can also contact your Neighbourhood Officer via our online form. Please ensure you provide your name and address so we can direct your enquiry to the relevant person.
If you live in Hereford, South of the river then please contact the South Wye Office on 01432 346091.
If you live in Hereford North of the river, or in Ross on Wye, then please contact the Widemarsh Street Office on 01432 346070.
You can find out who your Neighbourhood officer is by viewing our Neighbourhood Officer Areas.
Estate Inspections
Neighbourhood Officers regularly carry out Estate Inspections, inviting tenants to take part in walkabouts around their local area to see where any problems are and to see what we can do to solve them and improve the estate. The people who know the area best are the local residents, which is why we invite tenants to help us do the inspections. To see when an Estate Inspection will be happening in your area, go to our Estate Inspection page.
