Our Sheltered Housing accommodation is for people over 60, or for younger people who are vulnerable with a recognised disability. Our Sheltered Housing accommodation consists of groups of unfurnished flats and bungalows, which are designed for people who can live independent lives. Some of our sheltered accommodation has purpose-built communal areas for social activities. Sheltered accommodation may also have aids and adaptations designed to ease difficulties in daily life. If a resident requires a new adaptation to help with a disability, we can help and assist them with this.
Residents who live in sheltered accommodation have access to Careline, Herefordshire Housing’s own Community Alarm System. This alarm service provides help in emergencies 24 hours a day all year round.
Find out more about our Careline Service.
Herefordshire Housing has a dedicated Floating Support Service which aims to support people to live a full independent life in their own home. The support is tailored to meet the needs of the individual. [In line with the Herefordshire Supporting Peoples Partnership eligibility criteria]. At this time the support is free to anybody with a proven need.
For more information about this service please see our leaflet.
