► What you can bid for ► How to bid for a property ► Herefordshire Housing's Lettings Team
► Housing for Young People ► Homelessness ► Mutual Exchanges.
We advertise all our vacant properties with Home Point, a choice-based lettings scheme for the major social housing providers in Herefordshire. If you want to apply for social housing in Herefordshire, you must register with Home Point by filling in an application form.

You can get an application form:
• from any Herefordshire Housing office
• by phoning Home Point directly on (01432) 359500
• by visiting their offices at 135 Eign Street, Hereford HR4 0AJ.
• by visiting their website at www.home-point.info
Once you are registered, you will be put into a banding system, based on your circumstances. These are Gold, Silver or Bronze. If your circumstances are urgent, you may get a Priority Card, which helps you to find a home more quickly. These are only given in an emergency. You will also be informed about what sort of property you can apply for, as you will not be able to apply for every sort of housing.
You will then be able to bid for any properties that you are eligible to apply for. Properties will be advertised each week through the Hereford Admag, Home Point’s website and in each Social Landlord’s offices, including our own.

Other Social Landlords who let their properties through Home Point are:
• Kemble Housing
• Marches Housing Association
• Elgar Housing Association
• Bromford Housing Group
• South Shropshire Housing Association
• Salvation Army Housing Association
All available properties are advertised by HOMEPOINT in the Hereford Admag each week and through their website www.home-point.info. If you see a property that you are interested in, then:
• you can call HOMEPOINT on 01432 359500.
• visit their website on www.home-point.info
• use the 24 automated bidding line: 0845 270 2550
• text your bid to: 07781 482313
• visit the HOMEPOINT office at Eign Street in Hereford.
• or you can return the coupon in the Admag paper.
You can contact our Allocations Team on (01432) 384082 / 384083 or via our online form.
If you are aged 16-25 you may be able to get accommodation and support from Herefordshire Supported Housing for Young Peoples project (SHYPP). They have accommodation in Hereford, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye. You can visit the SHYPP website.
Services for households that are homeless or threatened with homelessness are provided and co-ordinated by Herefordshire Council's Homelessness and Housing Advice Team. They are based at the Council's offices at Garrick House, Widemarsh Street, Hereford, HR4 9EU.
If you are homeless or threatened with homelessness, Hereford Council can help.
Contact them by:
• Visiting the Housing Advice section on their website
• Calling - 01432 261 600 • Fax - 01432 26 1591
• Email - housing.enquiry@herefordshire.gov.uk
If you are already a Herefordshire Housing tenant, or a tenant of another housing association or Council, you may be able to exchange with another tenant. You can do this by finding a tenant who wishes to swap with you.
Home Point produces a list of people wishing to exchange, which can be viewed at our offices, or at the Home Point Office at 135 Eign Street, Hereford, telephone (01432) 359500. You can also contact them through their website: www.home-point.info
When you find a property you think may be suitable, it is up to you to contact the tenant directly. You will both need to complete a Mutual Exchange form, which you can request a copy by contacting our Tenancy Services Team or by calling in at any of our offices (details of our offices are on the bottom of each web page). We will need to visit your property prior to any decision being made. For more information contact your Neighbourhood Officer.
You can also do a Mutual Exchange through the HomeSwapper website. This is a national home swap site, you can visit the site at www.homeswapper.co.uk
